Temple Run is a hugely popular endless-running game which was released for iPhone and iPad in August 2011. Temple Run has already been downloaded more than 20 million times now and there are about 7 million daily active users. It is now the number one free app for iOS platform. Imangi Studios, the dev team behind Temple Run, has recently announced the imminent launch of Temple Run for Android platform.
Temple Run for Android Will be Released on Feb 2012
Mobile game developer Imangi Studios has revealed that its endless-running smartphone game Temple Run has been downloaded more than 20 million times since it was launched for iOS platform in 2011. In an interview with TechCrunch, Imangi Studios co-founder Natalia Luckyanova explained that the game now sees 7 million daily active users, with 1 percent of users paying for in-app purchases.
"On a (Samsung) Galaxy not-so-far away. Temple Run Android coming February 2012. We're so excited to announce this and appreciate all of our fans' support across both platforms!"- read one the recent status updates of Temple Run facebook page. Arrival of popular games and apps from all sorts of platforms and consoles is a testament to the stupendous growth Android platform has managed to achieve in such a short span of time.
